SphereneNXT 1.1 makes surfaces first-class: pick individual CAD faces or flood-fill mesh regions for Boundary, Cavity, and Volcano; place, drag, and edit point-map values directly in the viewport; and open heavy results far faster with preview-first loading and a background full-resolution upgrade.

  • Select the surfaces you actually mean: Boundary, Cavity, and Volcano now take a face-level selection on imported CAD (STEP/IGES) and a flood-fill region on meshes, so a fillet, a bore, or a whole shell side becomes a single input instead of a hand-placed approximation. Surface picking is opt-in, so it never hijacks the viewport while you are navigating; picked regions highlight on hover, several regions can be flooded into one selection, the picking dialog steps aside so the model stays visible while you work, switching input method clears the previous picks, and a Cavity pick is only offered when a separate body is actually eligible for it.
  • Work with point maps directly in the scene: labels anchor consistently to their points and stagger apart instead of overlapping, a whole group moves as one when you drag it, a double-click edits a value in place, and staged points show as ghost badges that write back to the form when you drag them. Vector arrows scale with their magnitude, thickness-label edits write straight through to the parameters and to Boundary attributes, and long point-map lists stay inside a scrollable region rather than pushing the panel out of reach. CSV point sets can now be imported and displayed coloured by value, with a gradient legend and a per-set eye.
  • Open heavy results far faster: a project now paints a preview of the visible layers immediately and upgrades to full resolution in the background, swapping the geometry in atomically when it is ready. Hidden result layers are no longer downloaded until you first show them, result parsing moved off the main thread, use-case tiles are served pre-sized, and the first result no longer waits on a server-side copy. Result surfaces are shaded with crease-aware normals so hard edges read as hard edges, and translucent results render through a depth pre-pass so they no longer show their own interior faces.
  • Navigate with a steadier camera: a rotate that starts off the model no longer swings the view to the model centre, assigning the Envelope role keeps your current pose, and orbiting turns around the surface point under your cursor. Exported .spherene project files round-trip cleanly back into the workbench, and export filenames follow the project instead of a generic default.
  • Account and plan handling is clearer end to end: an expired licence now shows the upgrade path instead of a “service unavailable” error, a revoked seat is blocked with a message that says so, and “Activate Maker” is wired to the approval-gated Maker request. The trial-ended badge appears only after the trial has actually expired, unlimited licences no longer render an internal sentinel value, an already-licensed seat is no longer asked to create a second account, and High Performance Computing eligibility follows your entitlement.
  • Sign-up, support, and feedback are smoother: the registration flow is redesigned and adds a student path, onboarding is fully translated, the acquisition-source question is captured at trial sign-up, the support form carries an explicit design-access consent checkbox, feedback uses a 0–10 NPS scale, and a major-release changelog now arrives as a compact popup rather than a full-screen splash. The estimator gained a memory floor for fine-cell grids and surfaces watchdog errors instead of stalling, and Boundary target thickness now reaches the engine.

SphereneNXT 1.0.2 refines the 1.0 line: steadier viewport navigation with over-the-pole rotation and a self-hiding Envelope after compute, clearer guidance on when High Performance Computing is recommended, and a searchable Help panel.

  • Navigate the viewport with steadier hands: free rotation now tumbles continuously over the top and bottom poles instead of locking up, the camera holds its framing through an import or a finished compute rather than resetting on its own, and ViewCube snaps stay in sync with the standard views. A middle-mouse click on a surface sets the rotation pivot to that point, Blender- and Rhino-style, without moving the view; the translate gizmo’s axis arrows keep a stable direction while you orbit instead of flipping as the camera crosses each axis; scatter and field vectors render as 3D arrows at their field points, including in Constant mode; a result stays clipped by an active cross-section the moment the cut is made; and after a computation the computed Part’s Envelope eye turns off automatically — remembered through save and reopen — so your fresh result stands out, while the scene never goes blank when the last result is removed.
  • Understand each compute before you spend credits: the “Select processing mode” dialog now explains why High Performance Computing is recommended — that the computation is resource-intensive and finishes faster on dedicated hardware. Default cell size and density suggestions account for a body’s gizmo scale, so a scaled Envelope is measured for the right volume. When your job runs on a different engine than requested — for example Cloud instead of High Performance Computing after gating — a clear message and a compute-log line explain the change, the setup phase before the engine starts now reads “Preparing” rather than “Compute”, reaching your plan’s simulation limit shows a clear message with an upgrade prompt instead of a generic failure, and every compute-complete notification carries a “View report” action that reopens that run’s technical report even after it has been cleared from the panel.
  • Find help and manage attention on your terms: the in-app Help panel is now searchable and filterable across documentation and blog articles, with a clear no-results state. A per-project Bell toggle in the comment pane lets you mute or unmute @mention notifications for that project, and the Contact and Support confirmation stays visible until you start a new message instead of dismissing itself after a few seconds. During sign-up, an Accept all control ticks every required and optional legal agreement at once.

SphereneNXT 1.0.1 refines the 1.0 release: buy credits in CHF, EUR, or USD; isolate, color, and export your results with new viewport and picker tools; choose engine performance at compute time; and manage your email preferences with recorded consent — alongside a broad sweep of workbench, import, export, and billing fixes.

  • Buy credits in the currency you are billed in: pick CHF, EUR, or USD, and both the pack prices you preview and the amount you are charged follow your choice — the selector defaults to the currency of your billing country and falls back to your local currency when that currency isn't available, and the Buy Credits dialog highlights a recommended pack to start from. Requesting a subscription quotation now goes straight to the Spherene sales team and confirms receipt on the spot, with a reply from the team within 24 hours, and the Upgrade Plan dialog has been reworked around the new flow.
  • Take control of which emails you receive in a redesigned Notifications section of Settings: Critical Alerts stay on to keep your account secure, Service messages and Product updates are grouped clearly, and Marketing communications are off until you opt in — with the moment of your consent recorded in line with GDPR Article 7 and the Swiss nDSG.
  • Choose your engine per job: the in-panel high-performance toggle is replaced by a performance picker that appears at compute time for eligible jobs and shows each option's predicted time and credit cost, so the high-performance time saving stands on its own instead of being folded into the price. A muted Flow Direction no longer forces the automatic switch to ADMS Flow, and the suggested cell size fills in reliably again — small suggestions no longer collapse to zero, switching Constant Value to Point Map carries your value across, and a non-positive cell size can never slip through.
  • Color a result exactly how you want with a new picker that combines color and transparency in one place — a checkerboard swatch shows translucency at a glance, a hex field takes precise values, and a per-format reset restores the engine color — and your coloring now carries across compute iterations instead of resetting to the default. Export gains a layer picker: File → Export lets you choose which result layers to write and bundles several into a single zip, so multi-format and multi-Part results no longer collapse into one file.
  • Work in the viewport with fewer surprises: press “i” to isolate the selected body or result and hide everything else, a light select-click no longer swings the camera, the compute progress panel floats above the scene so opening Technical details never shrinks the canvas or throws off the scale bar and ViewCube, the Deselect pill stays clickable while a compute runs, and the Transform panel gains a close button to clear the selection. Thickness and Density labels now hide from the layer-tree eye on every project, a saved-hidden imported object stays hidden when you reopen the project, a cross-section left on no longer slices the next part you import, opening a project shows one continuous loader with no flash, and discarding your work to start a new project no longer lets Undo reach back into the closed one.
  • The guided setup runs more smoothly: the Envelope step opens straight to Upload when your scene is empty, the TPMS workflow now includes a Thicken Surface step, and the workflow list drops the placeholder Custom entry so every workflow shown is one you can start. Valid meshes are no longer wrongly rejected on import by an over-eager non-manifold check, and the onboarding “Display name” field is now labeled “Alias” to distinguish it from your full name, which is what appears on your transaction report.
  • Trial accounts can no longer export CAD results for free — export is now blocked on the Trial plan, with a clear upgrade prompt explaining it. Team invites say plainly when your plan is out of seats instead of failing with a generic error, the Contact and Support form submits reliably again, your pinned projects stay pinned across refreshes and navigation, and the Sync activation page is redesigned into a straightforward one-time-code flow with a copy button, a countdown, and step-by-step “Activate with code” instructions.

SphereneNXT 1.0 reaches general availability: a production-ready, browser-native CAD platform that generates optimized ADMS lattice structures and carries a part from CAD import through guided setup, cloud compute, and additive-ready export.

  • Generate ADMS with the Spongify algorithm, which fills a part's interior with an optimized, self-supporting minimal-surface structure built for additive manufacturing. Choose between ADMS Standard and ADMS Flow lattice behaviors, and control the structure through cell size, density, and thickness — each set as a single uniform value or driven spatially with a Point Map where your loads and geometry demand it.
  • Work with multiple Spherene Parts in one project, each carrying its own Envelope, modifiers, fields, and results. A per-Part Compute toggle runs only the parts you select, a Working-Part indicator keeps clear which part your dialogs act on, and a structured tree of Project, Imported Objects, and Spherene Parts keeps every element in view with inline rename and a focus action to jump straight to any part.
  • Define the solid region with the Envelope and a per-Part DF Envelope — assigning a new DF Envelope returns the previous body to Imported Objects so geometry is never stranded — then shape the result with a full modifier stack of Boundary, Cavity, Detail, Volcano, and Boolean. Boundary and Boolean work as multi-card lists, so you can combine several operands, or the envelope itself, and tune each independently.
  • Bias the structure locally with feature fields — Surface Bias, Scatter Vector, Flow Direction, Density, and Thickness — placing points directly on the geometry with surface snapping and live preview. Point edits stage locally and commit only on Apply, import from CSV by Append or Replace, and appear as always-on labeled 3D markers that hold a fixed on-screen size and follow unit changes.
  • Fill any part with TPMS (triply periodic minimal surface) lattice infills, each defined on its own card so you can layer distinct lattices within a single structure. Choose the surface type, set the cell size, shape anisotropy with optional Stretching and Rotation, and drive the lattice from your own CSV point maps — with every control listed one-to-one in the layer tree so each adjustment stays visible and directly editable in the viewport.
  • Import STEP, IGES, STL, OBJ, PLY, and 3MF anywhere CAD is accepted — inside a project, at the Envelope step, or in your cloud library. STEP and IGES are processed in the background so the interface stays responsive, and even large files arriving over a slow connection keep orbiting and zooming smooth.
  • Imported geometry is prepared for ADMS work automatically: multi-object files separate into distinct bodies, multi-face STEP and IGES bodies are merged watertight for reliable point-in-mesh operations, and very large meshes are simplified for display while full resolution is retained for compute and export. Open or non-manifold envelopes are rejected up front with a clear explanation, so you find out before you compute rather than after.
  • Export an entire project to a single file, or export results per mesh — choosing Single, Solid, HalfSpace, or Chamber with your own folder and filename, or downloading every format at once as a zip.
  • Switch units at any time and the entire workspace follows in lockstep — forms, the layer tree, 3D labels, geometry, Point Maps, parameters, and result groups all stay in sync, so a change of unit never leaves a stale number behind. Navigate with engineering-grade aids: a viewport scale bar reporting real-world dimensions, a theme-aware ViewCube with clickable faces, cursor-directed zoom that halts the instant you release, and a cross-section view with a correct cap and wireframe overlays that honor the cut plane.
  • Edit with full traceability through visible Undo and Redo, an Edit History panel that lists every change, gizmo drags captured as single undo steps, and exact numeric entry for position and rotation, with a refined palette for feature fields and result surfaces and solids shown in Halfspace Diagnostic Colors so envelope-boundary seams disappear. Large result lattices stay fluid throughout, with accelerated raycasting for zoom, measure, and pick, off-thread display decimation, and GPU memory released the moment a result is hidden.
  • A guided setup wizard walks you through building a structure one decision at a time — ADMS type, Cell Parameters, and Boundary — and gates each step until the required values are set, so a valid configuration is the only way forward. Your work autosaves continuously as a background draft, and reopening an interrupted session offers it back exactly where you left off.
  • Manage your work on the Projects page in list or grid view, with owner, size, last compute, and status at a glance, filtering by status (including Draft) or favorites, rendered thumbnails for instant recognition, and a reworked trash-and-restore flow for safe deletion and recovery. Each project starts clean and defaults to showing only its newest result.
  • Every run begins with a pre-flight estimator that predicts compute time and memory using the same compute engine that runs outside the browser, then validates the job against the engine's memory and wall-clock limits — and warns you before it starts when a cavity sits entirely outside the envelope or your time budget falls short of the estimate. You get actionable guidance when a job is too heavy, so you spend credits deliberately and avoid surprise timeouts; and for demanding parts you can opt into the high-performance engine with the price difference confirmed upfront, shown only when your job actually qualifies.
  • Compute feedback is precise throughout: progress appears promptly with animated status, the running engine appears in the log, timestamps show in your local time, and a live timer tracks elapsed time. Failures read inline in plain language rather than a bare error, a stopped run reports a clean cancellation, a high-demand notice appears while your job waits in line, and each Spherene Part computes independently so one part never blocks the others.
  • Buy credits without leaving SphereneNXT — by card or enterprise order, priced in your billing currency with your VAT number on the invoice — and see a result's credit cost against your current balance before you export. Plan & Usage states your plan and matching usage in plain language, every credit reconciles exactly across the Credits page, Admin Console, and engine, and owners manage the team from the Admin Console with Admin or Member roles, member enable, disable, and removal, and pending-invitation review. A richer profile keeps your personal and company details — salutation, mobile, and more — saved reliably in one place.
  • Keep your CAD parts in a dedicated cloud library with rendered thumbnails, storage quotas, and read-only or read-write sharing, and browse ready-made use cases by category to copy any one into your own named project in a single click, computed results included. Read and reply to Support tickets in-app with the full agent thread, set priority and attach files, with your plan's typical first-response time shown, and book or review demo and review calls from the My Meetings page.
  • Sign in with a passkey backed by device biometrics or a security key, with discoverable login and passkey management in your profile, or with an emailed one-time code and a remember-my-email option. Sessions run on secure cookies that never touch browser storage, survive a tab close or brief network drop, and log out cleanly across every device, while a platform status indicator and a quiet outage banner keep you informed without logging you out. Review and accept the Master Service Agreement and Privacy Policy at sign-up and sign-in, with the Terms of Use, EULA, and Student Agreement always in the footer — and the entire interface, including the 3D viewer, is fully bilingual in English and German.
